About the Ramblers
Walking is Britains most popular outdoor pastime and is the perfect way of discovering the countryside.
If you're a country walker already, you'll know that there is nothing more pleasant than getting out into the fresh air, relaxing and looking at the ever changing countryside around you. So if you enjoy walking or want to take it up, why not join The Ramblers?
The Ramblers Association was formed 60 years ago, has 100,000 individual members and over 800 affiliated organisations. It exists to encourage walking in the countryside and protect the public's rights to do so.
We have 4/5 Rambles' a month, plus social activities and evening "Rambles" in the summer. Why not come and join us?
Members and affiliated organisations recieve copies of the association's quarterly colour magazine and our Annual "Rambler's Yearbook and Accommodation Guide".
You are welcome to come along to 2/3 events before becoming a member and once you join, you may partake in the activities of any of the other Groups in the area in addition to your Group. Group secretaries will supply a copy of their programme to members of other Groups upon receipt of a stamped addressed envelope quoting membership number.
